Newbie Question:
What is the proper procedure for taking an image from Photoshop back to Lightroom?
From LR to PS, no problem:
Photo >> Edit in >> Edit in PS
However, I am not sure of the correct method for returning to LR, in order to make the last few tweaks to the image.
Specifically, here is the problem: Saved edited image in PS (Cntrl + S). Changes appeared on the image when I returned to the Library Module in LR. Good!
However, as soon as I opened the Develop Module in LR, the last edits I had made in PS disappeared. Back to the Library Module, and edits reappear.
The basic question, then, is - what is the proper way to exit PS with an edited image, return to LR, and preserve all the edits?

Hi BH888,
Sorry that round trip from Lightroom "Edit in Photoshop" is not working as expected. Let us help make it right,
Could you please take a look at the troubleshooting steps mentioned in this article 'Edit In Photoshop' command missing and let us know if that helps?
Thanks,
Akash

Can't explain it, but when I opened PS today, the glitch I described above disappeared. All's well that ends well.
A special thanks, Akash & Johan, for your suggestions to resolve the problem.

Glad that things got back to working on its own.

The proper way is simply to use 'Save' and then go back to Lightroom. Do remember that editing a photo from Lightroom in Photoshop creates a copy (unless you edit a tiff/jpeg and use 'Edit Original' to send it to Photoshop), so perhaps you are simply looking at the wrong image.
