How to show full path for a missing smart object

I've recieved a psd with missing smart objects. When I open I get the message "cannot locate linked objects."

How can I show the full path? The window only opens so big. If I could see the full path, I would be able to track down the assets.

See the screengrab to understand what I mean. The path is abbreviated with ellipses (...) I need that path info to track down the assets.

Thanks.

hi Budd,

Try selecting the layer, and then opening the Properties panel so you can see the path. You should be able to expand the properties panel and then see the entire path.

Hope this helps. Its always best if the file has linked assets to have whoever is sending the file to choose File>Package so it can package all the linked files you will need.

best,

Another way to do it, without resizing any panels, is to hover the pointer over the abbreviated path in the Properties panel. The full path appears in a pop-up tool tip.

Great solve. Yes, with the missing smart object's layer selected, I can expand the "Properties" window to show the full path. Thanks.
