How to transform flowers into barbed wire?

Hey! I need to transform to know how i can slowy transform those flowers into barbed wire? ( I mean, the flowers start as a flower but gradually develop into barbed wire.

Could you post a link to some example of what you have in mind? 

Because to me it seems unclear how you would expect to morph a two such different shapes into one another.

Your use of the word »slowly« makes me suspect you want to create and animation. 

If so you might be better off using After Effects (or some non-Adobe program) that is oriented toward animation and fx.
