How to Trim Unwanted Pixels

Explorer ,

Hi,

I have a boxshot at https://www.dropbox.com/s/9t0zj4zlx37j62a/dfsp.psd?dl=0 . I want to try to get the box and trim all unwanted pixels around the box, including the shadow below the box.

I have tried the following methods:

1. Remove the White background. Then use "Trim" -> Transparent Pixels. But this will not trim a lot. There are still many around the box, though I cannot see them.

2. I enable snap and try to select the box only via snap, but it seems that the selection will not be able to auto-snap to the corner of the box, which makes the selection very difficult.

Therefore, I just wonder if there is a good method to select such a box and trim the unwanted pixels aound it.

Thank you very much

Use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to select the shadow and the box. Fill selection with white to delete the shadow. Use the cursor keys to move the selection as close to the box as you can.
