How to unsync changes in Effects?

Hi,

1. Applied Effects (bevel, shadows) on Text

2. Copied the Text layer

3. Started making changes in the copied layer and noticed that the same changes are synced on the original text layer.

How do I unsync the changes? Thanks!

Hi, I didn't. That is I did but not by desynchronising the changes to the effects. I wasn't sure me pasting a screenshot from the Layer style dialogue had a chance of solving the issue. Anyway, my issue was that I needed to use the copied horizontal text layer vertically and the rotation changed the look of the bevel effect. When adjusting the bevel on the copied text layer, I noticed it changing the original text layer as well. Since I failed to figure out how to disable the unwanted synchronisation, I just converted the copied text layer to a smart image. Thanks for your interest and willingness to help!
