How do I upscale an image from fire fly with very low resolution to 30x40 Extra -Large 3:4. 9000x12000 to upload to gelato

@James_in progress925 you can't - the current Generative Upscale has a limit of 4096 px.

You need to be realistic. You can't upsample "very low resolution" to a gigantic 12000 x 9000 pixels. You might find an AI algorithm that will do it - but don't expect it to be the same image! It will effectively be an entirely new AI generated image more or less loosely based on your original.

Well its not that I'm not being realistic its just that I'm just learning this stuff and searching for answers I new to all this and now you mentioned algorithms something else I just heard of for the first time

Just keep in mind that any upsampling, by whatever method, needs to invent pixels out of thin air. It's not like pulling out some "hidden" information - that information is simply not there.

Say you're upsampling from 800 x 1000 pixels to 3200 x 4000 pixels. That means a 16 times area increase. In other words, for every original pixel, 16 new ones have to be invented. That's a tall order by any standard.

In most practical scenarios, you can get away with a 2x linear upscale (that's 4x area). What AI brings to the table is that it can mimic existing images the algorithm has been trained on before. It can make an upsampled feather look like a full-size feather, because it has seen feathers before and can simulate the texture based on the original image. So that can improve the result - but don't stretch it too far. It will inevitably introduce new data that weren't there in the original, and at some point it becomes an entirely new image that just resembles the original.
