how to use a psd file

So i downloaded a few PSD actions from deviant art and intend to use them on photos. I have no idea how. When I use ATN files it automatically goes to my actions folder but not the PSD ones. How do I go about doing this?

    Hi, it will not let me because it is psd file not ATN.

    You can't load a PSD file as an Action, Action files have a .atn extension
