how to Vertical type

Hi,

I have the 2020 student ps, and i need to type vertical text, however when i tried in the text command, i have four options, vertcal, horizontal and both with mask, but i need vertical text when i use vertical, it will type just like if you rotate a horizontal text, it doesnt type like from to top to bottom.how to fix this issue please?

Hello Chuck,

 

Appreciate your quick response, I have two screen shots, one the text tool with its option, and second one is this is how it shows when i type vertically, I want to type letter underneat each other as showen in the third,

Check "Type / Language Options / Default Features", and "Character / Standard Vertical Roman Alignment".

Thank you very much, yes I was able to fix the problem, from expermenting with all option, the main problem is because I also have Farsi enabled, I have to disabe "World Ready Layout" and choose Latin and east Asian layout. works now ...Appreciate you quick turn around.
