Hello,

I'm working on creating an email AD for the company I work for. I've got the hyperlinks perfect and save settings correct (or so I thought). But my file will only open properly in Chrome and no other browsers (safari, firefox, etc...)

What can I do to make the html file compatible with ever browser or am I stuck with it only opening in chrome unless I get another program?

How do you make this HTML file with Photoshop, exactly? What version, and what settings?

However.... email HTML is very specialist and you probably need to us an app made to do that specific job. Normal HTML in a browser probably won't cut it.

I create the html file by going to "save for web" then setting the file as a "jpeg high" and saving it. When I hit save, I make sure it saves the file as an "HTML and Images" File.

I am using the 2014 Photoshop CS6

I would thing an HTML file will open in a users default browser  on their system the is associated with html files or http url protocol. In my case that would be Chrome.

As mentioned HTML emails are very specialised as they have to be compatible with so many mail clients including a number of legacy versions. Unless you're prepared to undertake a lot of training use something like Mailchimp or another solution such as InDesign's Publish Online.

Basically gonna have to restart the whole image... but Indesign seems to be the best option for me! Really wish I had acrobat pro but the graphic designer that had this computer before me ruined a lot of the programs in my creative suite... Thank you so much for your help!

If you have a valid serial for CS6 creative suit and a lot of the applications in it have been ruined are corrupt. You should  Reinstall those applications. If You do not have the installation media download it from Adobe's site.

Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications

The previous designer lost all important information for the suite and lost passwords to the apple ID used to purchase it. So were kind of screwed until we upgrade our 2008 mac lol

The CS6 suite serial should be registered to the Adobe User ID the activated  your CS6 install. Under your Products.  I don't know if it is same for accounts with multi seat licenses.

I suspect your issue could be the code generated by Photoshop. CS6 is getting pretty old, and browsers change frequently. Your email might work in those browsers--just older versions that were CS6's contemporaries (which might not be what you want if you're sending it out to people who will be using current browsers). If you're creating HTML emails frequently for your job, it might be a good idea to get familiar with the code side of it. You can open the HTML up in Dreamweaver to look at it there. If you have questions on the code side, I'd recommend asking in the Dreamweaver forum.
