Huion tablet problem with all adobe software

I have a Huion Kamvas Pro 19, and while it works fine in all other drawing software, it's really messed up with Photoshop and Animate. Pen strokes don't register properly, pressure sensitivity is all over the place. I've updated the drivers, deselected and reselected the 'windows ink' option and read all the forums out there but to no avail. I don't know if this is a Huion problem or Adobe, but it currenly means I can't the software which is slightly maddening. Any ideas? many thanks.
