Hi, I'm going to assemble a pc with Intel core i5-9600k (windows10) without GPU.
Will Adobe Photoshop cc be affected or is the GPU essential?

I would avoid an Intel intergrated GPU like the plague. While they may work, they have issues with PS detecting them, so it will work at times and not at others, and you'll be pulling your hair out wondering why.

Without a GPU your monitor won't work at all. The CPUs without an integrated GPU are meant to be used with a separate graphics card.

In addition, some functions in Photoshop are executed in the GPU, for many performance-related reasons. These may or may not work depending on the type and capabilities of the GPU.
