I can't find, much less install the presets. All I have is contours and tools.

I have the 2025 version of Photoshop. I can't figure out the presets manager. All that is available is contours and tools. I a watercolor artist to install and can't install the presets, they are grayed out. Probably because I only have two preset categories. I've read the documenation on presets but it isn't working for me. I need to install the brush and pattern presets but it won't allow me due to not having the proper preset categories.

Where do I find presets? How do I install them through the preset manager?

Is this a question about Photoshop CC or PS Elements?

I'll move your question to the appropriate product community where the experts there will see it.

For future reference, the link below lists all Adobe product communities.

assuming photoshop.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

LATEST

A number of Photoshop versions ago Adobe moved various presets out of the Preset Manager into their own panels.

Now for example, to load .pat (pattern presets) go to Window>Patterns and from the fly-out menu click Import Patterns
