Hello,
Since the last update of Photoshop, I cannot open more than two files. I am trying to make a HDR merge of 3 files in lightroom and photoshop keeps crashing (not responding) while loading the third file.
Files are in RAW (CDR), I tried to open them directly in photoshop an exported JPG and did not work. I tried to lower the size (50%) of the files in JPG and did not work. By the third file, it will not respond anymore.
Photoshop Version: v.23.05.0
Lightroom Version: 11.5
Camera Raw: 14.5
I am working on Windows Computer: Microsoft Windows 10 Home
Version: 10.0.19044 Build 19044
Photoshop is installed in an SSD Harddrive with still 49 GB free space
Data is stored in a normal Harddrive with stilll 727 GB free space
I have 32 GB RAM
Files are 32MB
RADEON RX 50 Series (27.20.1034.6) - 4 GB
The use of Graphikprozessor is deactivated, otherwise I get more crashes.
Camera RAW cahe: 5 GB
I restarted the computer after the first tries, and it keeps on doing it.
I would appreciate the help, thanks!,
regards,
Xia.
Hi Xia,
I noticed that you already have your Graphics Processor Card unchecked. Have you tried turning it on to see if that would help? Have you updated your Graphics Processor Card or checked to see if it is compatible with the newest versionof Photoshop? Here is some info that might help: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html
Let us know if turning on the GPU helps? I realize that it creates other crashes, but it is a good place to start.
Thanks,
Michelle

Hi Michelle, thank you very much for the fast answer. the check of the Graphikprozessor did not help, but I updated the treiber of my AMD Radeon and now I can open three files and create the HDR.
Thank you very much for you help!!! 🙂
