Question

I cannot retouch in Photoshop 2024 MACOS

I am running on MAC OS Monterey 12.0.1 and I have Photoshop 2024. I cannot retouch in this program. Is there an incompatibility issue here? Should I go back to Photoshop 2023? Everything worked fine then. And now the RETOUCHING tool is the only thing not working. When I click on the tool it formulates a copy of my entire image and won't function as a retouching tool. HELP!

Thanks in advance!

From this I recon that you have deactivated the »clipped«-option in the clone-source panel. Solution:

  1. Open »Window > Clone source«
  2. Activate the »Clipped« check box

OR

Deactivate »Show overlay« completely.

I suspect you might be talking about the Clone Stamp Too, so could you please post screenshots taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, Clone Source, …) visible that we might see the settings?
