I don't quite know how to ask this, but here's my goal

I'm trying to take an image of a motorcycle helmet, select only the face shield, and then add an image over that selection. Kind of like a reflection? I'd also like to be able to make sure the shape is symmetrical.

I was then hoping to be able to take the faceshield shape and use that to be the shape of the image so I can see if it looks better on the helmet or just the image in the shape of the face shield. I'm not sure what this is called or even how to ask it, so hopefully someone can direct me towards a tutorial that covers what I'm talking about.

Hi @Matt33861488bnz2, you could start with a search for tutorials on creating reflections, for example, Photoshop: Realistic Glass Window Reflection Effect that will include how to get the perspective right. As for the second part, I'm not sure what you mean. When you make the selection of the face shield, create a new layer for adding the reflection so you can isolate the work to try on other images.
