I've done this hundreds of times before with no issue. Now for some reason, I if I import an image sequence into Photoshop, it does not showthe animation. Photoshop does correctly convert the frames into a Video Group Layer, but I cannot scrub through the timeline and when I try to save it as a gif, the playback is greyed out. Can someone help figure out why?

Is it just with this specific file or all files?

Before you convert to a video layer - what does your layers panel look like after importing the image sequence? What happens if you use Frame animation?

It converts the image sequence into a video layer automatically. When I convert to frame animation, the timeline just has one frame at 3 seconds. Both the video timeline and the frame animation timeline refuses to play.
I've restarted my computer, reset my Photoshop preferences, removed any extra plugins and uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop to no avail. It's weird because I've done this workflow (import image sequence or video and then export as gif) countless times before, but suddenly it's changed. I'm on a Mac OS Ventura 13.5.1 with the latest version of Photoshop. I'm wondering if there is something obvious I'm missing or have a setting that's changed?
