I don't want a subscription because I paid 150 for a CD. The CD looks wrecked but I never used it because my computer has no CD drive. How do I get my update? Not having it is screwing up my computer.
Hi
Photoshop is only available with a subscription, if you did purchase Photoshop in 2021 for 150 more than likely it's a pirated version.
Here are the plans for Photoshop. As others have said, it is subscription only, and has been since 2013. Scroll down to find the Photography plan (annual) with 20GB storage, payable at $9.99 monthly or in a lump sum.

If you don't want a subscription, then you can purchase a perpetual license for Photoshop Elements or you can do an internet search for alternatives. We are asked not to make alternate suggestions on the Adobe

You'll have to explain what your CD is. Photoshop is subscription ONLY, certainly wasn't sold on CD for any price in 2021. But meanwhile there is also Photoshop Elements, which has a fixed price. What do you have, exactly?

Not even just likely, it's absolutely dead certain.
Throw that CD in the bin. Don't even try to install it. A subscription to the Photography Plan (PS + Lr) is $10 a month. How anyone can call that expensive is beyond me. I pay five times that for my phone.
We just had someone here in the forum who hadn't even noticed they had an active subscription, five years later 😉
EDIT: yes, unless it's Photoshop Elements. People keep mixing those two up.

If it's really a CD then it's definitely a very old version of photoshop/photoshop elements, since any photoshop elements/photoshop version installer from the last 10 years or so won't even fit on a CD.

The license for Elements is $99.99. There is a bundle for Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements together for $149.99. If that's what you bought we can move your post to the Elememts forum.
If you purchased a pirated copy of Photoshop, please report it to Adobe: piracy@adobe.com .
When you tell us what you actually have and where you purchased it, we can better assist.
