Image Not Updating

Hi All,

I am using version 21.2.0 and I have had various issues. The image is not updating after a layer change. For example if I apply a curve adjustment layer as I make changes the image does not update. The only way I can see what changes have been applied are to switch the background layere on and off.

Also if I copy any paste an image onto the background, I get multiple copies of that layer showing as I move that layer around - even though ther is only one layer. So if I put an image as a a layer onto the background, then use the move tool to move this new layer, there will be the image there is the original position then a duplicate image that you move. Only one shows in the layer pallette and again if you switch on and off the back ground layer, the rogue image disappears leaving the moved image. So the on screen image is not updating unless I switch on and off the background layer, then the changes take effect.

Anyone have any idea what is happening? I cannot continue to work like this!
