Hi,

In this tutorial someone suggest this color profile which is not included in the last version of PS. Does anyone know if it got substituted with another for that purpose?

Do you sugest any other profile for Newspaper print in Cylindrical machines? (much different than offset printing)

Is there also any tutorial online for manual optimization of images for Newspaper Print?

Thanks,

Jason

This tutorial is very old and outdated.

If you are preparing for newsprint, then use North America Newsprint.

The preset they show is for Offset printing (NA General Purpose or NA Prepress).

Many thanks for your answers, help and effort. Offset? I need a setup profile for cylindrical machines for Newspaper, not offset machines. Thanks! In general, the profile must reduce colors, and enhance light plus reduce black.Of course all this is manually to do, but maybe a profile will do so with good results. Thanks again!  those profiles are available in the last version as I know so far....

Here's a good place to start, IFRA is the World Association of News Publishers, there are IFRA ICC profiles available which characterise newsprint.

I hope this helps
