Question

Image Processor doesn't work with open files

Hi,

I generated a contact sheet which is some 15 pages. I want to save them all using Image Processor > Use open files, but I get an error message saying "There were no source files that could be opened by Photoshop." followed by "Sorry, I could not process (list of open file names)".

Does anyone know why this is? Is it a bug? Thank you.

Using Photoshop CC and Mac OS Mojave version 10. 14.5

I think it because all you open contact sheets are new documents  which have never been saved so there are no  backing files.  You can test my theory by saving the open Contact sheets leave them open in Photoshop. Then try Image Processor again to see of it works.

I do not think because when testing my files was saved on hard drive and open in Photoshop. I was able to reproduce problem in the second attempt with exactly same files open but with different save location. Interestingly after closing files and opening other set of files I wasn't able to reproduce problem at all even after saving in the same location for the second or third time.

My conclusion is that problem occurs from time to time but I can not say when and why.

Please specify version of Photoshop and OS you are using.

I was able to reproduce your problem in latest Photoshop on Windows but only once. It is not consistent bug it happens on occasion from my testing without any pattern to report, please try again and see if something changed.
