Image sequence in Photoshop

New Here ,
Nov 05, 2018 Nov 05, 2018

I am a college student creating a project for an art and computer class. I followed the instructions that my teacher gave me to export an animation into an image sequence, how ever it is not saving correctly. When I open it back up in my files, it only shows the first action that is on my live video layer. I am not sure if it is because of the update or if myself or my professor is doing something wrong. However, she has a degree and has worked with photoshop for many years. She was even confused as to why it was not saving correctly. I had to use a computer at school that has not updated yet instead of my personal computer. Is this a bug or a quick fix so I could work on my projects at home when I cannot get to school??

Can you show a screenshot of your render settings, along with some details of your Operating system and Photoshop version?

Hi

I don't see anything wrong with your settings.

Can you :

a. Save the PSD

b. Close and re-open Photoshop

c. Open the PSD

d Confirm the animation plays in the timeline

e. Try rendering to image sequence again

I have a surface and updated creative cloud about a week to two weeks ago to 4.7.0.400

Are you exporting as a video or gif?
Are all the layers on when you export?

Looking at the image you've included I would suggest turning all the layers on then try to export it again.

My teachers instructions were to turn off the layers so it was transparent.

I've just tested, if the layer is off the image won't show.

To have them appear at different times you need to move the starting points on your timeline. You currently have them all starting together according to your image.

Just for clarity. All the frames in your Image sequence are being rendered with frame 1 of your timeline?

If so, go to Preferences >General reset preferences on Quit and close and restart Photoshop

If it still does not work - post a link to the PSD and I will take a look at it here

I have tried that multiple times. With many different sequences. My teacher has even tried it multiple times.
