IME switch instantly crashes photoshop

Hi, using Photoshop 25.9.0 on Windows 10 Japanese. Working at a studio where most people have Japanese and English keyboard support installed.

There is a hard crash 100% of the time when you change from English --> Japanese IME ANYWHERE inside photoshop, or go to another program, change to Japanese, then return to Photoshop. All controls are locked out and the only thing you can do is force-quit from Task Manager, and even that barely works.

It has been like this for over six months and we have literally had thousands of crashes from this over the studio. Please advise.
