Import of brushes

Hi,
when I import new downloaded BRUSHES they will disappear after re-start of PS. Also inside PRESET MANAGER I even cannot choose brushes context at all. 

Are there any workarounds how to fix that problem?

The Library Folder is located within my user account.

 


Then the brushes must be available in the Brushes Panel’s pop-up menu according to conventional wisdom. 

 

It may be time for some all-purpose trouble-shooting … 

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Did you copy the abr-files into your user account Brushes Folder? 

Then they should be available in the Brushes Panel’s pop-up menu. 

 

Presets have received an overhaul, so you may want to read up on that in the What’s New-chapter/s for the last Photoshop version/s.

Hi,

thanks for your quick response. 
I already copied the brushes in the right folder. Anyway, they do not appear anyway.

I am so frustrated. I already de-installed PS on my iMAC and just installed PS one again from the scratch. Sure, all my earlier settings are gone 😞 but still have the same problem with my brushes. 

I copied them into the right folder, I imported them (and they appear in my brushes list), but as soon as I re-start PS all my new brushed are gone and just the few default brushes are visible. 


I am using PS2020 in an iMAC. 

 


Which exact version? 21.0.0 or 21.1.1? 

 

Befor uninstalling you may want to make back-ups of all your customized presets in the future. 

 

Please post the requested screenshots.
