Did you know you can open Photoshop files in InDesign? If you are working on a newsletter or other type of project in InDesign and would like to include some Photoshop files, try using the Place command.  As an alternative, you can also drag and drop Photoshop files into InDesign. Check out the steps below and visit the related links if you want more details.

Place Photoshop files in InDesign

Create or open an InDesign file

Select the frame (optional)

If you are importing into a frame or replacing one, select the frame first. If you are not using a frame, ensure nothing is selected.

Place the Photoshop file

From the Main InDesign menu, choose File>Place.  Navigate to the Photoshop file you want to import and click open. To learn more about adding Photoshop files to InDesign documents, see Work with Photoshop files in InDesign.
