Infinite loop error message for corner radius input (1 easy trick to lose your data)

On PS2024 on Mac, when editing the corner radius of a rectangle, if the user inputs an invalid character (like trying pt or px units) the error "Invalid numeric entry" message that pops up very often completely locks the Photoshop UI (this is already annoying). Clicking OK dismisses the message, but then it immediately triggers again, leaving you in a constant state of not being able to fix the value. Force Quit is the only option so you lose all unsaved data.

Just reset the value to what it was? Or maybe set it to zero and move on? Or even better don't make error messages completely lock the interface in an infinite error loop where the user has no opportunity to fix anything and loses all their data, how about that?

Bugs can be found in every software of course, but Photoshop is such a minefield; with no user control over auto-save data, the severity of even these small bugs gets hugely amplified.

@manekdsilva not seeing the issue on my system with Photoshop version 25.11 on Windows 11, have you tried resetting the warning dialogs

If that doesn't help, try manually resetting your Photoshop preferences

Remember to back up your settings before doing the preference reset

Oo that was a great tip thank you! I had tested it multiple times after refreshing Photoshop and it was recurring every single time. But Resetting Warnings seems to have fixed it, maybe my warnings were just glitched out. Thank you again!

Just tested on the Mac, Photoshop 25.11, hitting Return closes the dialog and enters the previous value.
