Hi,

I am trying to insert an image (for example a new sky, I removed the old one) into the current one, however there is no "insert" in the tool bar menu!

Any body ?  tks  Samuel

One way is just go to File > Place Linked. Then navigate to your replacement sky.

No there is no insert... but probably a „Place„ command. I use drag and drop to get a file into a new layer in a photoshop file. Also, if you have 2 files open, you can drag and drop the layer of one file onto a second file.

About the closest command to Insert is Paste Into:

1. Make a Selection of the area you want to replace.

2. Open the replacement image file and Select > All followed by Edit > Copy

3. Return to the original file and choose Edit > Paste Special..;. Paste Into

You will find you can then choose the replacement image in the Layers panel and shift its contents (Move tool) and/or change the size of the image within the pasted-in image area (Edit > Transform)

Hi https://forums.adobe.com/people/samuel%20abnera21158393

I agree with Norman on his method, and just want to add that this will create a layer mask (unlinked).
