Installing Photoshop Plug-in Purchased from a 3rd party

I'm working with Photoshop Creative Cloud v 26.9 on a MacBook Pro with Sequoia 15.5. I purchased a plugin from Evato for PS and downloaded it along with the License Certificate. When I follow the install instructions I get into the Creative Cloud App and get a message saying I have to purchase the plug-in.... which I'm not inclined to do BECAUSE I ALREADY PURCHASED IT!!

How do I get Creative Cloud to accept my Item Purchase Code from the 3rd party?

I heard back from the developer... there is a work around:

Due to an issue on Adobe’s side, this situation can occasionally occur. You can install the plugin manually by following the steps below.

1 – Rename the downloaded .ccx file and change the file extension to .zip
2 – Expand the .zip file
3 – Right Click the DesignRocketGogh folder and select Copy
4 – Navigate to your Photoshop’s Plugins folder

Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2024\Plug-ins MacOs: /Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2024/Plug-ins

5 – Right click inside the Plugins folder and select Paste

6 – Restart Photoshop

7 – Go to Plugins menu

This process was successful for me.

This worked for me for installing Lumenzia on MacOS Tahoe with Photoshop 27.3.0.

Can you post a screenshot of the message you get? (Adobe doesn't care about third-party app ownership; I don't believe CC checks for certificates)

The file extention is .ccx (GOGH by DesignRocket.ccx)

It would have been nice for the plug-in maker to display its name in the pop-up, huh?

  • Is GOGH covered by the 'payment required' pop-up? Or does clicking on Ps start CC?
  • If you click the BUY button, are you taken to the DesignRocket.net website?? And -- how is Evato related?

Contact designer Göksel?

[the hyperlink for his website on exchange.adobe.com sent me to DesignRocket.com (not dot net) and is his shingle offering designing, not selling plug-ins]
