Will I lose CS4 if I upgrade to OS 10.7 Lion?

I use CS4 in conjunction with LR3.

I don't know if it will help anyone with this issue. But Apple did release OS10.7.1 today.

I found an interesting solution, temporary at least

Go to the Apple forum:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3190134?start=15&tstart=0

Edwin Jose came up with the idea

I did it and it works

Involves copying the PS program to the desktop

Go to the Apple forum to see what he suggests

May or may not be a permanent solution but, mine is working for now

Hi,

Good to hear you're up and running. I think that work around disassociates the keys in the .plist file, but need to make sure. We are still testing a quick way to fix this and I'll let you know when it's ready. The fix should work for any application that was set to 'Open in Rosetta' not just Adobe products.

regards,

steve

Hi,

This is just a follow-up notice that we have posted a KB doc with a downloadable Applescript application. You'll only need to run this if you're getting the error: "You can't open the application Adobe Photoshop [CS4 or CS3]  because PowerPC applications are no longer supported." displaying at launch.
