Question

Is it normal for my photo to be blurry even at a normal zoom level while editing?

Whenever I edit my photos they look blurry, it's blurry enough to where I can't tell if I'm adding too much sharpness or anything. And they look perfectly fine when I'm in library

Sharpening should always be at 100% zoom level. In addition, if you make the image a Smart Object before you apply the sharpening filter, you will be able to edit it later if needed. If you apply the filter directly to the image, it is permanent if you cannot undo.

Are you using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements?

I recently was messing with the zoom level, and it seemed to fix it.

Full-sized images should not appear blurry unless the camera was incorrectly focussed or your depth of field was too narrow.

Thumbnail sized previews are not always an accurate representation of picture quality & focus.

Which app are you using to edit photos?

    Ctrl/Cmd + 0 (zero) is normal 100% magnification.
