Hi all, I have a Macbook pro M1 Pro, actually running Monterrey.

I'd like to know before updating if Photoshop 25 runs faster on Sequoia.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not seeing much of a difference on either M1 or Intel.

With Monterey you won't be able to use Camera Raw 17

Not only that but Big Sur and Monterey are no longer supported by Apple either, so you won't get security fixes. I highly recommend upgrading to Sonoma or Sequoia.

I'm aware of that, but I work with very large files and lots of them to process using resource consuming filters and gen AI.
So if updating means slowing down my workflow then I'd rather go with ACR16 and unsupported version.

Thanks!

Lots of us work with large files. Sequoia is going to be faster in general than Monterey.

Ok, will give it a try. Another thing I noted after upgrading to Photoshop 2025 is that crashes very often, hope this won't happen in Sequoia.

Thx

Again, not seeing issues here. I'm in Photoshop all day long at work

Just updated to Sequoia and seems like you were right, everything working fine so far and even better than Monterrey.

Thank you!
