Question

Is there a way to make the transparency grid not scale with zoom?

Hello! I just got a new computer so all my photoshop preferences have been reset. It used to be that the transparency grid would match the size of the pixels, with each square in the grid being 8 pixels by 8 pixels. This was really good for my purposes (which include pixel art) and helps me out tremedously when doing any kind of art. On my new computer with a new version of photoshop (I am using 21.1.2) the transparency grid always scales when I zoom in or out. I have seen several threads asking similar questions to mine, but none of them seem to have gotten answers. Is there a way to fix this? Should I go back to an older version of Photoshop?

Okay I actually fixed it. For anyone else with this problem: I went to "performance," clicked "advanced settings" under "graphics processor settings," and set my "drawing mode" to "basic." I wish there was a better way to fix this... Right now it feels more like an exploit than a feature.
