Issue regarding using regional language fonts

I'm from INDIA. Actually I had used the regional language fonts known as Assamese from Akruti Assamese Multifont Engine using scroll lock key in the previous versions of Photoshop 7.0 & CS 6. But I'm not able to type with the assamese fonts in newer version Photoshop 2020. Its not working here.

What is the font’s file format?

Support for authoring with PostScript Type 1 fonts will end by January 2023

ttf should not be a problem, so I wonder if the issue might be with »Akruti Assamese Multifont Engine«.

Have you contacted the makers of that yet?

What happens when you open old files in which the font was used in Type Layers?

Did you also update the OS when you upgarded Photoshop? (Why Photoshop 2020, by the way, and not Photoshop 2023?)
