Question

Issue with blending modes and crashing canvas

Hi,

I didn't see this posted anywhere and really need some help. I updated to the newest Photoshop and since then, I have had an issue with the multiply blending mode freezing my canvas. Everything else seems to work. I can click on menus, I can add layers and open new files. But when I try to draw on the canvas nothing happens. If I minimize the window, the canvas disappears. I have tried clearing preferences, and reinstalling Photoshop. I am a PC user. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Have you tried checking "Legacy Compositing" in the preferences under performance?

Well I just tried that and it was absolutely the right answer. Thank you very much for the help!
