I am having trouble with some fonts. While typing it brings dots, question marks, exclamation marks, comma, etc at the beginning of the sentence as soon as I press the enter key. Initially, the problem occurred with Devnagari fonts but now I am facing it with Latin fonts too.

It is related to the Right-to-Left text directions which shows only when you activate the Middle Eastern type engine. If you don't type Arabic, Farsi, or Hebrew then it is recommended that you keep Text Engine to "East Asian".

Impossible to know. You need to provide exact system info, language settings and tell us what program(s) you are actually referring to in which versions.

If the type tool is typing backwards, and I think that's what you're saying, this has happened to me. I asked for help in the LinkedIn Photoshop group, and here is a screenshot I took of the fixes - this was a couple of years back (before I had found this wonderful Adobe forum!), and it was CS6, but maybe it can help with your problem:

Interestingly, I changed it to east asian in type preferences and it is working fine now. Let's see for a couple of days more. Thanks
