Issue with PS maintaining GPU connection

Hey I’m having trouble with Photoshop, I need a computer wiz’s input.
It’s pulling from the GPU on start up but then just quits.
Things we (I & my son who went to college for computer engineering and programming) already tried. My computer can definitely handle it, it must be an issue with Photoshop, I uninstalled it and reinstalled (but kept all preferences if that matters), task manager looks fine, preferences are on recommended, it’s worked great for a year and is just now doing this.

Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics card drivers are up to date. Outdated or incompatible drivers can sometimes cause issues with GPU-accelerated applications like Photoshop. Visit the website of your graphics card manufacturer to download and install the latest drivers.
