Issues when opening a NEF file in Camera Raw 12.0 using photoshop CC 2020

Hi all

When I open a pic (NEF) in CC 2020 I get taken straight to Camera Raw 12.0. The small image in the left corner of Camera Raw is perfect however the working image comes across as jagged lines only. I have manually loaded Camera Raw 12.0 as well with same results...any Ideas?
