Issues with new full screen mode Photoshop 25.4.0

Hi, I was really excited about the new full screen mode in Photoshop, but I'm having some issues with it on Sonomo 14.2.1 using an M1 Studio Ultra.  I run multiple desktops and find that Photoshop will sometimes decide to take up only the bottom half of the screen.  This happens with just one monitor.  Secondly, as you can see from the other screenshot, when opening an image from within Lightroom Classic using edit in Photoshop, the image will not open within the Photoshop program if the new full screen mode is engaged.  Perhaps this is normal, but to me at least, it defeats the purpose of running in this mode if I need to click the green button prior to opening each image.  Is this a glitch, or just the way it is?  Thanks!

Update: Currently on Mac OS 14.3.1 and Photoshop 25.5.0 and full screen exhibits the same behavior.   Even if Photoshop is not assigned to a specific desktop, clicking on the full screen green circle at the top left of Photoshop will cause Photoshop to open full screen and any open files to be orphaned on another desktop.
