Issues with numbers

Hi everyone!

I have an issue with numbers, only in Photoshop. Everytime I want to write a few numbers by themselfes (123456) it's fine. If I squeeze in a dash or any other sort of symbol (e.g. 123 / 456), I can't write from left to right as shown in my example. The numbers appear on the left site while typing (...456 / 123). I have that problem as well if I make a new ps file. Does someone have a clue how to solve this?

I'll help you figure this out. What version of Photoshop & the operating system are you working on?

Share the Type Settings that you have in Photoshop. Below are mine, almost default.

Ensure there are no stale preferences in your Photoshop. Go to the location of the preference folder mentioned below and rename it to backup. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

  • macOS: In the Finder, hold down the Option key when using the Go menu > Library > Go to Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
  • Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2023 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2023. old)

These changes will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a fresh install. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!
