Hello everyone,

I have Adobe Photoshop 2025 in my PC but he has lot of issues. First its very lagging when I put a text in a project, second, same when I put an image and when I want to transform it. And third, when I launch Photoshop, it shows that I have 26gb left on my SSD when when I close it, I have 199gb left as is actually the case. But I dont have this issues with Adobe Premiere Pro 2025, its just that with Photoshop. Could you help me please ?

The hardware of my PC :

Ryzen 5 5500, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, 32 gb RAM, 1 to SSD.

Hi, had the same thing, couldn't do anything even the simplest task, turned out I when I created a new file it was for example 1080x1920 but centimenters (after update it was default and I didn't notice) and a very high resolution so the empty file was gigantic like 20GB so the scratch disk couldn't take it.

I'm having the same issue when using the font tool! Ridiculously slow and has been for a while. Please advise

Hi @trimz,

I completely understand how frustrating it can be to deal with slow performance, especially when working with something as essential as the font tool. I’d love to help get this resolved for you!

Could you please share the following details?

1. A screen recording of the issue while using the font tool or any other actions that feel slow.

2.If it happens with specific files, upload a sample file via a file-sharing service (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive) and share the link here.

Also, please share your system info and OS & PS version as well.

This information will allow us to dig deeper and figure out whether the issue is related to your system, the specific file, or Photoshop itself.

Looking forward to your reply so we can help resolve this!

Best,

Hi @arovederci,

Thank you for sharing the details. I understand how these issues can disrupt your workflow, and I’d like to help resolve them.

Could you clarify whether Photoshop starts using up disk space immediately after launch, or does it happen only when you begin transforming an image or working with specific files?

The behavior you’ve described is typically related to Photoshop’s scratch disk, which temporarily uses disk space for processing large canvases or images. Once you close Photoshop, it releases the cache and frees up the space.

Additionally, could you confirm whether this lag and disk usage occur with all files or just specific ones? For example, large or high-resolution images might demand more system resources.

Looking forward to your response so we can guide you further!

Hello,

Thanks for your return. It makes that when I just create a simple project,
in all over resolutions. I tried to redownload the software but it does
nothing well. I tried to disable the GPU acceleration but it was worse than
before. I don’t know where the issue is. And the transformation tool in PS
gets lagging with all files I can use. I tried to use an older version of
Photoshop but it's the same problem. And when I want to make anything, It
shows me the message "Scratch disks are full" even though I have 200 GB of
free space. I’m paying $100 a month for the Adobe suite, and I can’t even
use Photoshop.

Thank you for providing more details about the issue.

To better understand the behavior, could you please:

1. Record your screen while performing the actions that cause lag (e.g., adding text, transforming images). This will give us a clearer view of the issue.

2. Share a sample file where this happens. If possible, upload it to a file-sharing service (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive) and share the link here.

This will help us test the file on our end and identify if the problem lies with the file, your system, or Photoshop itself.

Looking forward to your response so we can move forward with troubleshooting!

Best,
