Just started & my classroom in a book doesn't match what's onscreen

Hello, Just started using Photoshop and my "classroom in a book 2023" doesn't match what's onscreen.

I'm having a rough time because I'm only starting Lesson 1, but I already can't find the "scrubby zoom" button, and then couldn't find the "adjustments" panel above the layers panel in the panel dock.

Could anyone please shine a light on this?

I bought the Adobe 2023 Classroom in a Book, and downloaded Adobe and every app it offered.

Somehow I need to match the book to my computers version of PhotoShop.

Thank you very much for any help...

Hi @Donald29971042q6ux "Scrubby Zoom" is found in the Options bar at the top when the Zoom tool is selected.

The Adjustments Panel is above the Layers panel on the right side IF you have selected Window menu>Workspace>Essentials

If you have Essentials selected, go back to Window>Workspace menu and select Reset Essentials.

Make sure you set your Photoshop workspace to the same one recommended in the book.
