Question

Keep white in logo but make background transparent

Hi all. I've been tasked to make a logo transparent but the logo itself has white in it. There are no borders and openings within the shapes of the logo. Is there a way to select which parts I want to make transparent?

Its in the shape of a bottle. My client wants to keep the white inside the bottle and the neck of the bottle. Everytime I use the magic wand tool it deletes all the white, even the white in the logo he wants to keep. Is this even possible with PS? It's a PNG file.

Thanks in advance for any help or recommendations.

Hi

Can post the image in question, sounds like a job for the Pen Tool but without seen the actual image it's hard to say

Hi,

I appreciate your help. I attached the file. The neck of the bottle beneath the blue bottle cap and the white inside the bottle including the part outside the blue star is what needs to stay white. He doesn't want any background image to show through these parts. For example, I made a flame background and everything was see-through.

Thanks again.

Did you select the entire bottle and put a white layer behind the bottle then add your background as the bottom layer?
