Keeps asking me to save after export

Question

Whenever I select "Export As..." and export images and then try to close the file, Photoshop always asks me if I want to save the document, even if I've saved it right before doing an Export As. Why does it do this? It's extremely annoying, especially if the export options have not changed at all.

In fact, even if I just open the file, don't make any changes to it at all, and then export it, it will ask me if I want to save before closing. This should not be the expected functionality, so I'm calling this a bug.

Hi, @timz67519437. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I've shared this with the team.

As confirmed by the team - Photoshop saves the Export As settings into the file, even if you make no changes to the default settings. The settings are also sticky in Photoshop. So, if you change the settings for Export As, those settings get saved into the file and the preferences.

Then, if you create a new file, it will remember the last settings you used.

But, if you change the settings for the second file and reopen the first file, the first file remembers its settings and reverts to those.

This is expected behavior, so I'll move this to discussions.
