Keyboard / Wacom Tablet Problems After Recent PS updates

I am having problems with the way my keyboard and Wacom tablet function in Photoshop after recent udates. This is under Windows 10, 64bit, PS version 24.6.

Keyboard: Keyboard doesn't sweitch functions in PS. Sometimes I have to press and hold the key or, else it reverts to the old function.

Example: I am in zoom mode (Z). I press H to switch to hand tool. It switches to hand tool momentarily and if I relase the H key, it reverts back to zoom! Or the other way. I am in hand tool mode and clciking z doesn't switch to zoom mode if I release the  Z key on my keyboard.

Sometimes, if I click H twice, it switches to H, sometimes not. I keep pressing H key on my keyboard and then somehow it switches to H.

Sometimes the problem disappears for a while but comes back some again.

Wacom tablet and pen: The hand tool does not want to release the image. I am zoomed into the image and use hand tool to navigate. In the past, I could simply hover and click to diassociate the image motion from the pen's movement. Now, it persists on holding onto the image and moving within it.

Scrubby Zoom: The option has completely disappeared. It is not gray-put. It is simply not there any more.

Anyone having any idea what's going on here?

Thanks.

Hi @raminolta go to preferences/Tools and uncheck "Spring Loaded Tool Shortcuts". Restart PS.

As for the scrubby zoom, go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

Unchecking the Spring Loaded Tool Shortcuts did the trick. It brought back the scrubby zoom too. Wondering if it was me who inadvertently checked this option causing the dilemma or an update checked ticked the box somehow.

Its a newer feature that is on by default.
