I have a large file that I want to make into a 6.5 inch x 12 inch photo without losing any of the photo & without distortion. Does anyone on this forum know how to do this in photoshop ? I have tried several different ways but my image has either missing parts of the photo(because of it being cropped) or it is distorted . Help would sure be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time. 🙂

Use menu image>image size.... Un-check resample set the print height to 12" and click OK. Photoshop will set the correct print resolution to print the image 12" high. Use menu File>Print... Select your printer set printer settings and set Photoshop's print settings then use the print button.

Hi thank you for the advice. Which version of photoshop are you using this on? I have CS5 & CS6 at another location.
When I go to do as you suggest how can I make the document exactly the size 6.5 inches x 12 inches? Thanks again. 🙂

The target (print?) size has been stated, but what is the source image dimension in pixels? Such as 1920 x 1080 pixels? From the description I suspect that there is an aspect ratio problem between source and destination.

Hi
It reads as if the format (shape) of your large file differs from the proportion of your desired outcome.
If the proportion changes you can only achieve the new size by cropping or distorting.
I hope this helps
if so, please "like" my reply and if you're OK now, please mark it as "correct", so that others who have similar issues can see the solution
