HI all - I've just switched from windows to Mac (25.12.0) and I'm still getting my sea legs...
When using the polygonal lasso, I'm noticing that, at least in the Mac version, the actual lasso selection point is not the actual tip of the mousing arrow (or the tip of the border around the arrow), but it's set back a few pixels from that point. This is different than my experience with the PC versions. Is there a calibration that I'm missing?

I am not sure I understand; could you post a screen recording to illustrate?

Top image is from the PC interface, bottom is from the Mac interface (two different screens, so the resolution is different). Note how the polygonal selection line springs closer to the tip of the mousing arrow on the PC interface, and it's set back quite a bit from the tip on the Mac interface.

What are your Settings > Cursors settings?
Looks like the black arrow’s tip is the determining factor, not the white outline.

I tried a couple of competitors to Photoshop on the Mac, and unlike Photoshop, those applications don’t use the old MacPaint-style icons like the lasso pointer. They use crosshairs with a dot in the middle, which is less ambiguous: The center dot is the pixel where the selection is being drawn. So if you have no particular attachment to the lasso pointer, you might prefer setting the Photoshop tool pointer to a crosshair in Settings (Preferences) / Cursors (select the Precise option), or by engaging the Caps Lock key.
