Lasso tool change with today's update

Hi, I use the lasso tool constantly, and I noticed that a behavior changed today. Before, I could hold alt, or shift (to add or subtract from a selection), hold mouse down, then release shift or alt, then re-press and hold alt to select along a straight line. This functionality is super useful to me and now it is gone. is there a way to get it back?

I too am experiencing this issue, the holding down Shift and then pressing Alt to get straight line selection with the lasso tool was especially useful to me. Did you manage to figure out a solution, because right now it's driving me a little coo coo.

What exactly happens now when you use Shift / Alt - does it not do anything?

It still works for me. I have not updated my Photopshop to the latest version. What version are you using?

One thing you could try do is reset your preferences

When I use shift or alt, it still shows that I can add or subtract from my selection. this still works fine if I want to do it freehand. If I then press down with my pen, and release the shift or alt, then press alt again to get a straight line, nothing happens. Before today, after pressing and holding alt the second time, I could tap around the canvas to select in a straght line. Now, when holding alt and releasing the pen the selection just disappears.

I am using version 21.1
