Lasso Tool modifier keys

Question

I'm using PS 2019 (20.0.5) and noticed something odd about the Lasso tool. Holding ALT/OPT while dragging doesn't make a straight line anymore. Did something change? The help page for the lasso tool still shows that holding ALT should make a straight line but several other people have checked and say it isn't working for them anymore either.

HiIt's working fine for me on Windows 10 PS version 20.0.5You need to hold the Alt key and release the mouse this will turn the Lasso Tool into a Polygonal Lasso Tool

This isn't working for me either. in PS 21.1.0 I cannot hold shift to add to a selection then hold alt to change to polygonal lasso tool. This used to work for me and now when lift the mouse the selection closes immediately.

I've added a Wacom tablet recently. Any help would be grealy appreciated. This is a key feature I use regularly to refine selections and I hope it hasn't gone away.

Just tested another photoshop PS 21.1.0 and it works fine, so it must be a Wacom <-> Photoshop issue. Anyone know how to fix this behavior. It is limiting.
