latest PS crashes every time I try to change a font

The latest PS update is crashing every single time I try to change a font. I have a very new Macbook Pro with the latest OS installed. Apple M1 Max, 32 GB memory. I am beyond frustrated.

Hi. Does that issue happen with any font? If so, please try resetting the preferences: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#reset_preferences

It was happening when I was just scrolling through fonts at all, not even selecting one. I just tried turning off the font preview which seems to have stopped the crashing, but now I have no font preview for any fonts. Super irritating.
