Layer filtering no longer available?

There used to be the function to filter layers by name, attributes, etc. but it no longer exists??? Please bring that function back or let me know what I must do to use the function.

In the Layers panel menu, make sure Filter Options is set to Show, as in the picture below.

oh thank you! you're a blessing 🙂 my workflow has become so dependent on those options I can't even understand having them hidden by default.
