Within the Layers panel, drag your "background" layer into the Artboard group of layers.

    It's difficult to see what is happening from the supplied image.  Windows has a built in feature called the Snipping Tool that lets you grab screen shots. Just hit the WEindows key, and start typing sni...   For a really good screen shot utility, install GreenShot

      ...and on macOS (which Sophie is using) the built in tool is called Screenshot.
